EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

EFT is described as a cross between CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and acupuncture and works to balance the human energy system using the energy meridians which similar to those points used in acupuncture. Also known as tapping, EFT can help to release such problems as performance based fears (sport, public speaking etc), phobias (animals, flying, heights etc), emotional trauma (major life events, including physical abuse etc), disturbing emotions (depression, anger etc), emotions linked to addiction (overeating, smoking, drinking, drugs etc), insomnia and many physical conditions including pain release. It is based on the belief that these problems appear as a result of a block in the body's energy system. Tapping on the body's meridian points allows the individual's energy system to re-balance and release the block resulting in the presenting problem disappearing. A gentle, rapid and effective process that once taught, can be used by the individual on their own for on other problems that may occur.  For significant challenges, a 1:1 session is highly recommended.
